Ashley Portillo v County of Ventura
Plaintiff was involved in a traffic collision and sued the County of Ventura, contending that Defendant’s employee sheriff officer was negligent in the operation of the county vehicle, failed to stop at the red light and caused the accident. Defendant litigated and proceeded to trial, where plaintiff was not ready to proceed and did not appear. Defendant moved to dismiss due to lack of prosecution, which was granted by the Court.
