Charlie Wang graduated magna cum laude from Southwestern Law School. During his time at Southwestern, he received the Dean's Academic Leadership Award and served as an editor on the Southwestern Law Review and the Journal of International Media and Entertainment Law. Mr. Wang was a finalist in Southwestern’s intramural moot court competition and was a member of Southwestern's Ninth Circuit Appellate Litigation clinic.
Mr. Wang externed for the Honorable Justice Ming Chin at the California Supreme Court, the Honorable Judge Robert Hess in the Los Angeles County Superior Court, the Federal Trade Commission, the California Department of Justice – Antitrust Section and clerked at an appellate law firm.
Mr. Wang has defended public entities in civil rights, tort, insurance, employment and constitutional litigation actions in state and federal court.
