Reddy v. Twenty4Seven Hotels

Defendant was the manufacturer of tables used to decorate hotel rooms at a Doubletree Hotel near LAX. Each table had a marble top and a steel base.  The base was attached to the marble top with 4 screws. 

The plaintiff claimed that the marble top fell off of the table in his room and caused significant personal injuries.  Plaintiff settled with the hotel and proceeded to trial against our client on the theory that the table was defectively designed.   The defense successfully excluded much of plaintiff’s product liability evidence (including the table itself).      

The jury returned a defense verdict in 45 minutes.
