Bret was born in Chicago, Illinois, and was admitted to the State Bar of California as well as the United States District Court, for the District of California, in 2006. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of California, San Diego in 2002, his Masters of Business Administration from the Pepperdine University Graziadio School of Business and Management in 2005 and his Juris Doctor (with honors) from Pepperdine University School of Law in 2006.
